Dear posters, just a curiosity, I knew at Mirage (or Bellagio) they spread a 20,000-40,000 limit hold'em.

What's the highest stud limit you know was spread in a casino poker room? (Home games are just legends /images/smile.gif

Thanks

Hello,Marco,

I saw a 500-1000 game at the mirage several years ago.

Do you know what the buy-in was and the max rake on the 20K-40K hold'em game?

there is no "rake" it is most likely a seat charge.

you sure? I bet they could get their $3 per pot pretty consistantly at that limit /images/smile.gif

First, thanks for the responses.

I heard about that game (HOld'em ) here in this forum (see in the archive under the HIgh limit and pot and no limit section---if yet available).

I remember the table was 4-handed with 3 experts and one billionaire fish. Try to guess who won???

In the roped-off area I saw 8 guys sit down with a $1,000,000 each and play no-limit. I saw Mr. Seed, and Mr. Reese among the players. This was in late October of 1999

Deck, no limit stud or hold'em?

That was the only week I have ever played in Vegas. They got as high as 50,000-100,000. The games were only heads up were the pro playing in the game was fully backed and took 33% of his winnings. There were strong arguments that cheating went down in that game. The billionare lost 8 million that week.

Hello,Playes,

If my calculations are correct, the 8 mil lost in a week is like a lost of $1 with a buy-in of 125.00 for the week.

That's not a lost for the billonaire--that's a win!

Everyone won--even the other players who divided the 8 mil lost!

Happy Pokering,
