We are going to try and sit together in a couple of these to learn from each other. We will not be colluding, and only discussing hands after they are over. Others are welcome to come watch and/or join in. We will post table names when we are at them.

This has got to be the tighest $10 +1 I've ever seen.

Almost through round 2, no one has under 1,000 yet

Use this to tell who is a good player and who isn't. This is after AK wins a pot off of A7 on an A78TT board... Player 1 is the A7 guy, Player 3 is the AK guy

<Player 1> [censored] river rat
<Cleveland Guy> AK is a river rat?
<Player 1> I had him beat to the river
<Player 1> two pair aces and 7s on the flop
<Player 1> board paired and [censored] me in the ass
<Cleveland Guy> that doesn't make him a river rat though
<Player 2> why would you play A 7?
<Player 1> lol
<Player 1> i called the big blind preflop
<Player 1> it was suited
<Player 3> you didnt actually raise on the flop did you
<Player 2> it was sooooted
<Player 1> lol
<Cleveland Guy> hey- relax
<Cleveland Guy> we each get to play out on way!
<Player 2> I get it, Don't tap the aquarium!
<Player 3> any brown trout in tonight?
------------- Later ---------
Board is AxKx
<Player 4> suited.... but you play your own game
<Player 1> you must have a2
<Cleveland Guy> how'd you guess?
<Player 1> 99
<Cleveland Guy> AK
<Cleveland Guy> and sutied /images/graemlins/smile.gif
<Player 1> lol
<Cleveland Guy> and if we raising A2 suites, might as well do the same with AK
<Player 5> damn it
<Player 5> had to fold kings
<Player 5> fn ace
--------------Later----------
Right after a three way allin with KTo (Player 5), AQo (player 3) and A3o (zeek from below)
<Player 1> way to go zeek
<Player 1> step right up to the price is right
<Player 1> good luck on your voyage

Note: Player 1 went out in 9th.

That was stupid. With 14xBB, in the SB, Cleveland Guy raises to 3xBB and gets called by Player 2 (a player who said "Don't tap the aquarium" earlier), and is chip leader. Flop is AKTrb, and he moves in with his Q6s, gets called by AKo.

Thanks for this durron.

I didn't see- who asked about the Brown Trout?

BTW - Sehprog, who is Pocket3's picked off my steal move.

Of course I try to steal from CO when he has AK. well played.

Cleveland Guy
10-22-2004, 10:46 PM
That was pocket3s. On that flop - ther are a Lot of hands he is laying down to my all in.

Probably all except AK. Oops.

durron597
10-22-2004, 10:48 PM
BlueEmu, I think. And since sehnprog knows you were likely on a steal, I think he is correct to call with any ace worth calling a PFR with.

Cleveland Guy
10-22-2004, 10:52 PM
looking back on it I think I was a bit to obvious. His cold call pre flop of a 3xBB raise should have told me something.

GL to him- next one will start when he is done

Cleveland Guy
10-22-2004, 10:57 PM
pocket3s is ITM - as soon as he is done we will be starting another one.

Look for us in the pokerroom lobby. I'll announce a room as soon as it opens

Game Two
I am shortstacked and fourth from the button. I get Ad Qd and raise to 5xBB. Everyone folds except the small blind, who limps. Flop comes As 7s 3c, he bets out 10xBB, I go allin and he flips over A 3o. Turn 5h. River Ac. I am out in 9th.

Cleveland Guy
10-22-2004, 11:47 PM
and I'm still in.

5 to go

this was my first pokerroom game (BlueEmu if you didnt guess). i felt i played it like a chump. only got one good hand, early on (KK) then got blinded. if i remember correctly i misplayed a hand quite badly that didnt help (AQ v Kt v Ax)

edit, it is the hand mentioned above.

it cut me from 1400ish to 500ish; then it was just survival and trying to build my way up. i should of folded to the re-raise, i figured, quite wrongly, that i could push off the third guy to go heads up (i was sure i was ahead at that point). it was all sleep deprivation i tells ya /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

played a game just after and got third (for a lifetime loss of 2 dollars at pokerroom), and now im gonna get some kip.

incidentally, how cool is the stats feature of the site. definately a plus. the fact that it doesnt easily tell you how long till the blinds increase during the game however is a big thumbs down.

is there a way to do it to display it properly? i just have it set up so it tells me the hand started and the results/blind level in green; so im basicly counting the hands every so often to work out when its going up. help much appreciated.

gonna explore the site further, finding hand histories am i right in thinking its not just whats shown in the chat box that you can download? if it is then thats shockingly bad. especially as the table seems to close itself after your eliminated (or was it just cos i pressed ok) and learning how many people are logged into the site is on the to do list.

is it just that im used to the uncluttered miniview of ladbrokes or is the background round the table really off-putting.

anyone know if the table can be replaced/changed by changing an image file a la party and empire.

anyway, glad to experience my first game with two 2+2ers. shame i put on such a bad show.

Phill- the Blue Emu (btw, dont ask, the emu is a long story)

Well it was a nice treat to have a 3rd 2+2'er at the table.

No wonder it was so tight, most games have people go out a lot sooner.

As for your comments on the site, I like it a lot. You have to go to the website to get hand histories, and players online. I'll be sure to look for you in the future.

Okay, first real bad move of the night and I made it. I am on the button I get AJo. The guy right before me limps, I raise to 3xbb, everyone else folds and he calls. Flop comes 3 8 7 rainbow. He bets 4xbb, I raise to 8xbb, he puts me allin which is only a little more so I call(my mistake, should have raised allin or folded). He turns over Q7 offsuit. Turn is an 8 and the river is another 3. I am out in sixth.

taking a break from playing and watching you 3 way now... and you two playing another after this one?

Cleveland Guy
10-23-2004, 12:45 AM
It happens. I think the first hand threw everone's game off. One guy had 6200 after 1 hand.

Gotta stay patient. I did hit that nice Boat against him. I'm ITM again.

2 for me tonight!

Cleveland Guy
10-23-2004, 12:52 AM
I was gonna be done, but could be talked into another.

Damn- I thought I could trap him, that's what I get for letting him limp in with 5-2. He dominated the whole game though.

How was my 3 way play? I was a little passive heads up cause I was going for the trap.

pocket3s
10-23-2004, 12:53 AM
I am in for one more if you guys want.

Cleveland Guy
10-23-2004, 12:55 AM
what is your name on pokerroom. If you see sehnprog shout a room name - rush into it.

bismillahno
10-23-2004, 12:56 AM
You did look a little passive, on that last hand, I was sure you were slowplaying a 2, shame it was the other way around...

Different playing HU with the blinds still fairly low like that, the big first hand probably accelerated that game a tonne...

Up for a game if you're willing.

Cleveland Guy
10-23-2004, 01:01 AM
I was passive - but keeping enough chips that if I got him I would be able to be the chip leader, then play agressive.

This shuold be a fun table.

We are now sitting at : Portland

i ended up not sleeping and playing a few more, didnt see you guys so didnt join you.

5 played, 2 ITM (1st and 3rd) and a 4th where i had no cards and was lucky to survive as long as i did (never got over 1600 all game, survived at least 25 hands 4 way with them pretty even at 4K+.

a couple of errors here and there. ill have a few hands to post tomorrow when i review the HHs i think; starting with the AQ one mentioned up the thread.

Phill

It's hard to find cause they fill so quickly, maybe I could talk to pokerroom about "private" tournaments- just like private ring games.

I played 4 tonight - all against at least 1 2+2er

1 8th (UGH)
2 2nds
1 3rd

Not bad

Cleveland Guy
10-23-2004, 01:58 AM
For me at least.

Congrats bis on your 2nd. I thought maybe you and I would have gone heads up. Oh well, that other guy was pretty solid too.

Damn you for stealing my blind so much, and then having a hand when I try to steal yours.

Anyways- thanks all, this was fun, we should do it again sometimes

bismillahno
10-23-2004, 02:04 AM
Thanks cleve... The cards really ran over me 3 way, I think I had AJ and Aq 3 times each, made it really easy to put my chips in.

We both got pretty lucky to suck out against the 4th place finisher, two dominated hands.

Thanks for getting me into the table with the two of you.
