View Full Version : Guide To Using 2+2

The mid high stakes NLHE forum lately has been cluttered with a lot of crap, stuff that should be in the small stakes forum mainly but some WPT, internet and LHE stuff as well. I always used to be unclear on the distinction between Other Topics forum and News, Views, Gossip forum. Texas Hold'em General is just a mess as far as I can tell. It seems to me tax questions which I've seen in many different places should go in Stock Market forum. When should the Heads up and Shorthanded forum be used in place of just the LHE forum, NLHE hands are never posted in HU and Shorthanded forum.

How about we make a guide that can be posted on the 2+2 homepage, or a link to this guide can be put on the 2+2 homepage that new users can use to read (as I just said, after 1500 posts I also still need some things cleared up). If we could get new users to read this guide, I think it could really help these forums remain organized especially with so many people joining nowadays.

How about giving moderation rights to the most respected 2+2 users; El Diablo, Matt Flynn, Jay, etc...

its really too hard to control.

but my solution is to send an electric shock back at them through the cookie. not so much to kill them but just enough to knock them out of their chair. second time blows their computer to smitherines. that ill teach em.

All he is asking for is a guide. Not forceful controls, but kind of like a FAQ.

Well, when even Mr. Sklansky is posting stuff there to induce professional discussion, I don't know if the WPT forum messiness can be helped.

I think this is a great idea. Most message boards have multiple moderators that keep the clutter down.

Ray,

Sucker just told me he is gonna buy some guns. I can't have that youngster outgunning me, so I will have to escalate and buy some big guns. By the time you get out here again we should have enough firepower to take care of Mason and David real good.

I agree, but the problem is that the vast majority of the culprits won't even read this forum. If you make a guide, they won't read that either.

Maybe, but I don't see any downside to making this guide.

Hahaha, good idea Ray Zee... Go ahead and implement your electric shock system, I am for it.

I just had my 2nd dream in 3 days about twoplustwo. This time I dreamt that my plan was adopted, the "other other topics" forum temporarily became called "the guide" forum, and the first 8 threads or so were all about what the guide would say about specific forums. I've had some weird dreams about chess, tetris and poker, but this perhaps takes the cake.

Does DS know that there is a multitable tourney forum?

I don't get why he constantly posts in the WPT forum because I don't even know if most people who post there even play poker.

He needs to read this guide, if there ever is one.

I would rather see a "Read this first" or "[forum name] FAQ" stick in each forum; let it get revised for a while; and then repost and lock the thread. This should get common questions out of the way, direct new posters to the right forums, help focus the forums, and ensure that useful information can be found easily.

why don't'ya just hire a grammarian while you're at it. sheesh.

just post nudie pictures of Shania. two out-of-place posts and the pictures get blocked for a week. four and you get nudie pictures of Ray instead.

that'll learn em.

The Other Other topic forum should be subdivided with a "Sports section"

"why don't'ya just hire a grammarian while you're at it. sheesh."

Haha... It's not like when people post in the wrong forums it somehow makes creative conversation occur. For instance, when a small stakes quesiton goes in the mid high stakes NLHE forum you don't get interesting small stakes ideas clashing with high stakes ideas that helps everyone learn. It just gets people angry and no one responds, it just clutters things up.

Also, the Poker Theory forum is a complete mess. Someone volunteer to make this guide.

Someone volunteer to make this guide.

I'll chip in, but what the forums need are content moderators.
