I think this only applies to Louisiana and I'm not sure of the details, but from what I picked up at the tourney last night through heresay from drunken rambling:
A business with a liquor license can't profit off tourneys. Under Louisiana law poker is a game of skill, along with pool, bowling, and golf. So if they decide to enforce the law on bars/poker tourneys, they also have to enforce it on pool/golf/etc tourneys.
Anyone hear anything about this?
