I know it's a longshot, but worth trying. I may have tix for tomorrow's game, but I don't want to buck up the airfare for just one game. I'm not asking for a total handout, but I can't fade anything exorbitant either.

Thanks for the offer. I have decided to pass on the first two games, and maybe catch games 4&5 in St. Louis, or 6&7 in Boston (I have a line on 2 for game 6). So I'm going to see what happens and play it by ear.

I was wondering how you were going to get a hotel room anyway. With the 'Head of the Charles' Regatta in town this weekend and now the World Series, there isn't a hotel room within 30 miles of Boston.

As for Games 6&7, by then it will be so tough to get tickets, I'll be calling everyone and their mother to see what they can do. The price will be much higher by next weekend.

I have a bead on Game 6 tix, it's Game 7 that'll be tough. But if Game 6 is a possible clinching game for the Cards, then I'll have no compunction about spending a ton on last minute airfare, hotel and car rental. I saw them clinch in 1982, so I'd love the chance to see it again.

I had a ticket to the ALCS game 3 last year when Pedro threw Zimmer to the ground. My old roommate's ex-gf was living up there, and managed to get an extra one for me. I let the airfare stop me, and I've wanted to slap myself ever since.
