2+2 Fantasy Hoops Draft

Okay. We have 12 for the fantasy hoops league.

Since there are a couple of people on the waiting list, please confirm that you are in.

I think the general consensus is to use the head-to-head scoring system. I am setting up the league on Yahoo, but we first need to determine whether we are having a live draft or an offline draft. We could do the offline draft via e-mail so as not to clog up these boards. I could then enter all the rosters on the Yahoo site.

A live draft is more fun, but I worry about being able to coordinate everyone's schedule. If we are going to do an offline draft, we should probably start no later than Monday. If things start to slow down, we will have to impose time limits.

So live draft or offline draft?

A live draft during world series games would make me sad, though.

Holler. Live draft is great, any evening during the week. I usually don't schedule my weekends, so if it has to be on a weekend, I can probably make time.

I suggest we play for a reasonable amount, say $50 or less.

It's always been my experience that any competitive endeavor is made all the more signifigant with some sort of wager riding on the outcome. I agree that we shouldn't get crazy, but I think something in the neighborhood of $20 would keep things interesting.

You need to sign up and create a custom league through Yahoo, pronto. that should be the number one priority, if people can't make the draft time that you choose, they can always prerank their team.

I have class on thursday until 5:30 pacific which would be 8:30 EST...were you thinking earlier than that?
