I thought this line from an espn.com article (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2004/news/story?id=1907013) about the ALCS rating was interesting.

[ QUOTE ]
There was a rating of 56.6 in the Boston area, better than either of the Patriots' two Super Bowl wins.

[/ QUOTE ]

Boston is a baseball (and hockey) town. One Red Sox World Series will be many times more important in New England than a Patriots Super Bowl win could ever be.

Dynasty, you are absolutely correct. There is tremendous focus on the Red Sox right now, as there should be but the surprising thing is that the Patriots, the defending World Champs, undeafeated at 5-0, with a big game against arch division rival Jets who are also 5-0 and with the chance to break the consecutive regular season victory streak of 17(tied with the '33/34 Bears) are being totally ignored.

It's like we don't even have a football team.
