Somehow I like the smooth calls, because if you pop him back he may only call you if you're beat. This way there was chance he was bluffing, or had a worse A (which he paired on the flop, unfortunately). Virtually impossible to get away from this hand.

Hard to put him on A8 after his minraise preflop.
