View Full Version : holdŽem player learning stud

01-16-2002, 03:06 PM
IŽm a holdŽem player, and mainly for reasons of game selection - but also because I donŽt want to wait until a new holdŽem table opens - I want to learn stud. IŽve played stud with friends, and also at some cheap-to-free tournaments, so IŽm not new to the game, and I also know of 7CSFAP. What I want to know is what else I absolutely have to know besides the contents of the following link from casino.poker.com.

Thanks in advance.

Dear Aquaman,

Learning how to play Stud is a great way to improve your holdem game. (and vice versa)

The materials that you referred us to were interesting , but I am afraid that there is quite a bit to learn if you want to become competitive at Stud.

If you would like to learn what the basic materials and techniques you will need to know if you want to master Stud, I would recommend that you transfer to the study group listed as "other poker games" (until recently stud was in this group and many of the archive materials are located there)

Once you are at the "other Poker games" section.

Put your cursor on the search option and go to that section.

Then go to the selection of topic by AUTHOR. Fill in, Doc AZ and go to a collection of my previous postings. Check the post on 9,January 2002, and you will find a previous post describing the recommendations that I made to another Stud forum member asking your same question.

Good luck

Doc AZ
