Just played a NLHE 20-2 PP SNG. Was down to T$65 when the other 3 remaining players went all in; biggest stack won, which put a great big cheesey grin on my face. Then HU came back from T$65 vs T$7935 to win. An hour later I still have beautific expression, makes it all worthwhile...

Nice comeback.

Care to share the hand that 3 people went all in on with an extreme shortstack at the table?

All three of them were probably holding AA /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Not that this was in a SNG, but a good friend of mine recently was in a tournament that paid a 10k WPT seat to first plus $1500 in spending $$$, and just $850 to second.

Heads up, 2nd hand, he was ahead 958K to 18k with blinds at 7500-15000 and 2000 ante. He loses that hand like J8o to K3o.
3rd hand he loses A9o to Q7o when he flops a 9, but Q hits river.
4th hand guy folds
5th hand friend loses 88 to K6
6th hand friend loses A5 to 44, and from there it was now
about 300k to 650k, and my friend ended up losing.

11k swing on that BS. Not like "Oh well, he made 30k and I made 19k" either. over 13x more for first than second. Brutal.

P.S. Hands are not exact, but close, from memory.

I once came back from 41 chips with 4 players left to win. The blinds at the time were 200-400.

I think I hold the record here. $200+15 NL sng. 200/400 blinds. 5 players left. I had 25 chips and won.

Yes, but did you talk trash and belittle the chip leader as you took all his chips?

You're not seriously folding AA here, are you? Play for first, not for third. This is not a satellite.

There's a huge chip lead. He's definitely getting $EV to fold here. If there's a time to fold rockets in an SNG, I think this is one of them.

Do we really want to go there? I'll *take* at least 3rd with a good chance of 2nd; *then* I'll play for 1st.

Ah...I misread his chip count. I thought he had 865, not 365. Still adjusting to the smaller resolution.

he was playing for 2nd, not 3rd here. Also, what does calling and winning get you at best, 1450 chips out of 8k? AA is an EASY fold.
