[ QUOTE ]
The Republican official said polling for Bush showed him in a weaker position than some published polls have indicated, both nationally and in battlegrounds. In many of the key states, the official said, Bush is below 50 percent, and he is ahead or behind within the margin of sampling error -- a statistical tie.

"There's just no place where they're polling outside the margin of error so they can say, 'We have this state,' " the official said. "And they know that an incumbent needs to be outside the margin of error."

You ALWAYS post hopeful Kerry polls, lol.

You should really try detaching yourself from your hopes once in a while.

I'm optimistic.

It still looks like it's going to come down to three states - according to the polls, Penn has moved into Kerry's camp, but Wisconsin seems to have become a problem.

So now it's Wis, OH, and FL.

But even the FOX-watchers can't argue with the fact that if it turns out to be a big-turnout election - and there's every indication that it will be - the new voters/unlikely voters (who are not being counted in the polls) are going to come out for Kerry.

Consider this - RCP is showing Bush ahead by just 0.8 in FL - a must win state for him.

If the GOTV effort brings out just 1%, Bush is toast.

He may squeak out a win, but the only possible "Kerry Blowout" is when he doesn't make it to the bathroom after eating 3 bowls of bran flakes.

Update:

RCP now shows Bush slipping to +0.4% in FL.

Do you really want to imitate GWB (the 2+2 poster) by starting threads with slanted articles and commentary?

Maybe the two of you could put on a 2+2 Crossfire show for us. /images/graemlins/grin.gif
