You guys can stop talking about this, because it's not going to happen. St. Louis wins tomorrow. Discuss.

The Cards are awesome & would be no surprise at all, and I'd be just as happy for them personally as HTown, maybe even more so. But Larussa ain't lived up to his rep for years now, plus losing to Clemens would hurt Boston more, so that's me.

Yankees are my second most hated team, BTW, but The Choke settles most of that.

Ooohh, I like that even better than The Curse. I hope it catches on.

The Cardinal franchise has been in 5 different 7-game postseason series where they were down 3-2. They are 5 for 5 winning those series. This is the 6th.

Clemens faced the Red Sox last year. And in 1999. What's the big deal?

Um, there's this thing, called the WSOB, starting Saturday?

Who finished 3rd & 4th in the '99 & '03 WSOP's? /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'm not saying the World Series isn't big, I'm just saying Clemens trying to stop the Red Sox from geting to the promised land is not news.

The Curse dates back to 1918, not the last time the Yankees finished ahead of the Yankees, but the last time they won the WSOB.

Hmm.. Harrington keeps hanging around that late. Harrington wears that Sox cap. Maybe 2005 is his year, if the Sox are the Harrington of baseball.

Harrington's more like the Braves of poker.

Does this make Raymer the Angels of poker, and Moneymaker the Marlins? Then I guess Varkoni is the 97 Marlins.

Since you seem so confident about this, I'm sure you won't be too pussy to throw down a bet on your team for tomorrow's game. Oh wait...

I didn't know you accepted cash bets where you weren't getting a better line than offered at the casinos?
