I'd love to agree and label the yankees chokes but I think it was more the Sox winning than the yanks losing despite the 3-0 lead.

There's a sense in which you're right because the Yankees were playing one quality team the whole time, whereas the Phillies lost ten in a row to everybody. But the Phillies were never three outs away from getting the job done. And then six outs away the next night.

I think this one stands atop the list.
