The better team won today, the Redsox proved that over the last 4 days.

I know this must extremely gratifying for you guys. Best of luck in the series.

Personally this is absolutely devastating. I'm not sure how one even goes about recoving from something like this.

Congratulations.

Yes it is, but it won't mean anything if they don't follow it with a WS championship.

Good point. The Red Sox have gotten to the World Series since 1918, although not often (1946, 1967, 1986). The pennant is good, wonderful, delicious in the manner in which they won it, but the curse requires a Championship.

You're forgetting 1975, too. Each time they made it to the seventh game, only to lose. This is what sets Red Sox heartbreak apart from, say, the Cubs. The Cubs just plain never get there. Once every couple decades the Sox get oooh so close and Sox fans have that championship dangled before there faces, only to have it snatched away and suffer the ulitmate defeat, usually in very dramatic and painful fashion.

The curse may be over with the Yankees, but overcoming the real curse has yet to come.

Dude - it's a baseball game. Get over it.

And that's coming from a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan.

Did you hear Scott Norwood tried to shoot himself in the head?

He missed - wide right.

Just like Buckner after '86 WS. He jumped in front of a bus and it went right through his legs.

Oldie but a goodie.
