My only read on the opponent was that he was a solid, aggressive player. I feel like I wussed out on the turn, which then created a difficult decision on the river. But then I was worried about betting so much that I was pot committed. Do you guys generally bet the pot on the turn in this situation?

I check call a reasonable bet on the turn.
KQ, KJ, KT, K6, K4 all have you, and I don't think any other Ks call that flop. He could be drawing, but regardless this just isn't a real good situation for you. I'd back off and wait for a better spot.

I'd say he has KJ, though I'd never know because I fold that river every time. All you did in this hand is increase the big stacks chip lead. Not a huge deal really... You're still 3rd place in chips if you fold.

I can relate though, the bulk of my bust outs happen when I'm on the BB, check, and catch something.
