I am playing in a 50+5 at doyles room, pace is pretty quick. I have 5700 in the small blind, a little less than avg. Big blind is the chip leader and has about 15,000 or so. I have J6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif flop is J23, one spade. we are the only two in the hand, and he bets out 600. he just moved to my table and i dont know much about him. There are eleven people left in the tourney and 7 get paid. what should i have done

What was the preflop play? Did you complete and the BB check?

I would hesitate pushing allin with top pair mediocre kicker. Without knowing more about the BB table image and given his chip size I would suspect that the BB is putting out a bet to try and steal the pot. I would raise the 600 [not push] and see what he is willing to invest.

This is probably weak/tight bubble play. I probably would not have completed the sb with those cards.
