I am a newbie. This was a tough one.

Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (10 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
UTG folds, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 raises, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, CO folds, Button folds, SB folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 caps, MP3 folds, Hero calls.

OK UTG+2 is a little LAG, but I'm guessing KK or QQ

Flop: (10.50 SB) J/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 6/images/graemlins/club.gif, Q/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG+2 caps, Hero calls.

Does anyone play this differently?

Turn: (9.25 BB) Q/images/graemlins/heart.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, Hero calls.

OK, QQ showing slows me down. Now I'm really nervous about QQ/AQ. Was this check/call too weak/tight?

River: (11.25 BB) 5/images/graemlins/club.gif (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, Hero calls.

Same question here.

Final Pot: 13.25 BB

think this is fine, after the flop cap you could be losing to a split 2 pair (QJs), the turn is nasty AND the river brings the flush card, so calling down seems pretty fine to me.

I've just woken up though, and am always weak-tight before breakfast.

Oh, on the hand, I prolly lead the turn and before I go into calldown mode.

Yeah, I play this one like Jaran. KK is more likely here than QQ; lead the turn and call down if he 3-bets.

i'm awake now.

yeah, bet the turn. if raised, call down then. check-calling the turn is a wee bit worried.

Thanks for the input. So it looks like the consensus is bet the turn before I slow down.

At the end of the day, the other guy shows KK and I won.

Another question--How would you have played KK from his position?

Exactly the same way he did.
