Just wondering when you are going to move out of the micro NL tables. I find it hard to relate your posts to higher levels.

From reading some of your posts, you definitely have the mindset to play the $0.25/$0.50 NL tables.

Looks pretty standard.

This is kind of hilarious. In it's own way.

You played it fine. I especially like the bet on the turn -- if the all-in raiser on the flop does have a set, you have covered your losses to him as long as you stay ahead of SB.

Check behind on the river is great. If he was drawing to the flush, he beat you, but don't step into the check-raise. Note that you have no opportunity to try to represent the flush here, because you would not have bet the turn with just a draw. Plus, at this level, that sort of bluff is a mistake anyway. (At a higher table, if you had checked behind on the turn and then you might bet out on the river, which would look exactly like a flush draw that just hit.)

If he had the flush, he made a mistake calling the turn bet. If he had something that was already ahead on the turn, then you did a great job of minimizing your losses. If he had some lame ace and he just got lucky and chopped with you, because your Q no longer plays, well, that sucks, but there was nothing you could do about it.

Sorry, I probably should have tagged my comments w/ the standard: <sarcasm>blah blah blah</end sarcasm>

i'd fold pre-flop. you're gonna have to fold if there's a reraise, you have worst position relative to the PFR, and mediocre position relative to the rest of the field. muck it.

after that, i like it. it's gotta be tempting to check the turn, but SB has played it like a flush draw, so i like the bet.

Wow I am totally being misunderstood here. (seems that's been happening a lot lately w/ my girlfriend as well)

I was being sarcastic in my original post because I play micro limits as well. Maybe "sarcasm" isn't the best word.

I like my posts.

Sorry for offending anyone.

Don't worry about it, I missed the sarcasm the first time, it can get swept under the rub online.

Just a few more hours. I committed to playing 10K hands at this level to get a grip on the game.

I'm have one week left--then I'm busting out of this joint! /images/graemlins/smile.gif
