Button was solid, his raise definitely means a hand, I put him on a set, with a pssiblity also of flush draw, made straight, and top pair as well..

With this action, your overcards don't really look too hot. You are getting at least a little over 2:1 (possibly more if UTG or cutoff call) however, if they call, you are very likely drawing dead to the nut flush and a made hand. I would hate to be calling off my money on a thin EV play if there's a decent chance (20%-30%) that I'm drawing dead.

I would (begrudgingly) muck there.

I think you have to fold here. The only flush draw I'd consider calling off all my money here is the A /images/graemlins/heart.gif6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. Raising for all your money is a good play here, but it's rarely correct to call for all your money when you haven't put a dime in the pot and all you have is a draw.

Many reasons to muck here: You are possibly up against either a set or a made straight (or both). You may be drawing dead to an ace high flush draw. You have only put in small amount of your stack and you will put all of your chips at risk by calling. There are better opportunities to accumulate chips than this one...

What about 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 8 /images/graemlins/heart.gif? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I agree with you and Sossman.

Edit: But don't put any emphasis on putting a dime in the pot...

I did fold and button took it down without a fight. He showed a made straight. I guess the math is close and for a fold when considering any set or two-pair has a redraw, and there may be a nut flush draw out there. At the time i thought it close.

thanks guys.
