A friend asked me this, and I'm now curious.

How big would the Party bad beat jackpot have to be before it was +EV?

This has been asked a few times, but I don't think anybody has done the math properly. I think on the quads over quads (both over 88) alone (which is the largest probability) it is +EV at something like 230k. So I think it's pretty safe to say that it is +EV overall at 200k.

I would just like to point out that at the $2/4 and $3/6 levels at least, the play on the jackpot tables is much worse than on the regular tables. I think it's probably worth the $0.50 per hand you win even before you factor in your jackpot equity.
