Hey there,

Have any of you other Party multitablers noticed that you get the same hand simultaneously at multiple tables a disproportionate amount of the time?

I'd think that the odds on this happening would be kind of slim, but it seems to happen quite often. It's kinda strange...

No, but when it does happen I'm sure it will stand out more than when it didn't happen.

it's cuz it's rigged..

and no, I haven't noticed this. It's only happened to me maybe two or three times. I get the same hands twice in a row at the same table more often (which still isn't all that often). Though last week there was one session where I had the exact same two cards dealt to me 3 times in a row. Wierd and fairly unlikely. Shame it was 62 /images/graemlins/heart.gif and not AA.

What I try to do is play one table untilI get into a good run of cards. Then I quickly open up three more tables so that I can take advantage of this phenomenon. That way I'm only multitabling when the cards are going my way.

I'm sure you just remember it when it happens and ignore the 1000's of times it doesnt... similar to the people who think it's rigged cuz "Aces NEVER win", when they lose 30% of the time.

I don't think, and I don't want to imply, that it was any thing more then coincedence but I got the same two cards and had to the exact same flop at the same time while playing 2 tables. I just thought it was kind of cool. Think I had A/K both tables...don't remember the suit and the hand held up on both tables.

Oh no! *Please* don't compare me to those yahoos!! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

::shrug:: I guess it's just a strange coincidence. But I've only played about 5000 party hands so far, and it seems to happen way more than I'd think it would. (It actually *did* happen with AA on my 2 tables the other night -- that was pretty darn sweet.)

It always seems kind of strange when it happens, and stands out easily in the memory -- all the more so because it happens so infrequently. You forget how many hundreds or thousands of hands have gone by without it happening by default. I've noticed it happen many times on two tables at once, but only rarely on three at once. I don't think I've ever seen it happen on four at once.

Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Bet you go to a casino and watch the blackjack table for a while and when people start winning you go and put your money in the play.

What I find curious is how similar J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
and J /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif can look with they occur on consecutive hands.
