*yawn*

So much for it "not being close", Boston "being better at every position but 3B", "we own Rivera", "we had the better head-to-head record" and, my personal favorite, "the Yankees know how to win the big ones but it won't help them overcome the *huge* talent deficit."

That was embarassing. Flat-out embarassing. I can only imagine, but for a Red Sox fan, this has got to be worse than last year. At least last year the team showed up and you could just blame it on the manager. Ugh.

Clark,

We'll find a way to blame it on the manager.

Biggest disadvantage going into the series was the Sox relief pitching: Embrie and Timlin have been terrible the last few weeks--and the rest just stink. Sox starters needed to get through seven or it was no contest.

Nobody "owns" Riveira.

Something of a misnomer. Their preferred form of pederasty was for the older man to rub his penis between the thighs of the adolescent until completion.

Just more evidence of the validity of the Red Sox Axiom (although no further evidence should be needed at this point):

The more likely the Red Sox are to win, the more likely they are to lose

the funniest thing about this post is the fact that you actually typed some characters and hit the Submit button.

Give it another 20 years, Daryn, and you'll understand why I had no choice. Also, I wasn't trying to be funny.

Give it another 20 years

My grandfather, when he could only hear, listened to the Red Sox when he was 90 on the radio.

I will die w/a Red Sox hat on.

GO SOX!

Maybe so, but in 2054, when they still haven't won a World Series, you'll finally give up and kick it into the middle of the Charles River.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be a fan, Joe; just sharing what I know. The Red Sox have about as much chance of winning a Series as Mason's Meteor has of hitting Cyrus.

How does that Yankees' hat fit?

Don't worry, they'll have at about 6 more almost World Series victories under their belts by then, too, so you'll have plenty to root for along the way.

Hey, have fun, I don't begrudge you that; I'm just telling you the way it will be. What fun would it be if you believed me?

I'm grew up in Newton and live in Connecticut and don't care about the Yankees. I'm just able to recognize when something finally gets hopeless, that's all.
