5-5 plo/8 deep stacks (2-3k)three times same situation folded A2 all three. Im on button call w/ Q7A2 rainbow or equivalent. flop is three babies bet raise and cold call b4 it gets to me. gotta figure im getting quartered and i got no re-draws so i fold. i really want to pop a big re-raise cause i think i can take it down some of the time but i decide the times i dont will be too expensive. i am new to this game is the answer dont play A2Shit from any position?

If 4players or more are still in the pot u will break even if quartered...so maybe a call is in it's place, and see what happends...I was in the same situation myself but with A3 568 flop---i fold it and 26 takes low and set vs str8 is betting hard...It depends a lot of the quality of the game.

The odds of getting quartered are much less than you fear. Against the below # of opponents:

1. 05.4%

2. 11.0%

3. 15.0%

4. 20.0%

5. 24.0%

6. 28.0%

So you see it is +EV to call with as many as 6 players in the pot (5 opponents). That is also ignoring any remote possibility of 2 perfect cards giving you scoop potential. Such as in your example above runner runner QQ. You did not say there was a possoble str8 on the flop so these possibilities must be considered therby increasing your potential profit. I have seen an analysis done where you make an 11% profit over the long term by playing A2xx (with xx being 2 cards 9 to a K). This was calculated for a limit game therefore a PL or NL might vary more.
