I just got called on a huge river bet, with a beautiful board, with an Ace high missed flush...I thought it was amusing. So, I ask you, what is the worst hand someone called you to the river with? (K high, etc.)

I love being a big stack /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I wasn't in this hand, but I saw a player call a river bet with an unimproved 32o. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

3 high

It was a double paired board and he thought his pair of two's in the hole counted.

I had A,K and the board was A,K,7,4,3

Some guy called me with 58o. He thought he had a straight. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

I wonder if you saw the same hand as me...pot was checked down to the river HU. guy in first position bluffs his 32, button calls with 32 and they chop.

I also saw the same thing with 65

I've been called by 32o before. Many people just want to play, not win.

From the blinds, many players are in the habit of calling so they don't "lose" their blind money. Thing is, once they've seen the flop, they would be "losing" all that money in the pot not to call through the river. And so, some do.

I've seen a lot of 43o and 54o and 53o turn up against me on the river lately. Some of these hands even took a raise preflop.

I think if you've played limit poker online for at least a year, you've probably been called by the worst possible hand after all the cards have been dealt. And I don't mean on a board like AAAAK.

Well technically everyone has the best possible hand.

However, almost everyone out there has seen a hand that is playing the board.

ok ok first I was cracking up, but now I'm wondering why you bet the immortal nuts heads up on the flop?

Last night I was playing in a home game where there were 5 spades on the board, the lowest being a 4. I was dealing the hand and said, "turn 'em up, top spade in the hole wins." Astonishingly they both had a spade in the hole, and it was still a chop. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Lol I had the same thing happen to me, though not as extreme, last night with a guy who wouldn't stop raising my quad aces. He had some middle pair. Most pairs and "even" someone with a single ace-rag beat the tar out of him -- and I had raised preflop, signaling strength already. I capped the turn and he bet out into me on the river, which was capped again. Umm...thanks?

I bluffed at the river with a busted straight draw (5,6s) and was called by ten high and lost the showdown.

I remember one time I was betting a 32s OESD + flush draw the whole way and I got called down by 8-high. I think that is my all-time best one.

This One (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1139241&page=0&view=expan ded&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1) was also pretty good, given that I c/r the turn against two opponents and bet the river and he still called me with Q7-high.

I hope the turn action went you bet, he raised on his huge draw, you 3-bet, he called... If that happened then his river call is excuseable because you cannot fold in big pots for 1-bet. /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Too suspicious not to bet it on the flop I think, especially cause I raised preflop.

The board is KKJJ, I have Ace nine suited, thought I would take a stab at it since all checks so far. I bet, get called in two places. Checked to me on river, Thought, for sure, I am beat. NO! one guy turns over q4 off, other guy had...... 96 off. LOL, even if he pairs he loses. And this is why I love pacific poker

Wasn't called because I didn't do any betting, but still funny:

Two limpers to me in BB with 53o.
Board is all high cards and a 4, every street is checked through and I take it down with 5 high. They both had 32o.
