Just played a 10 dollar sit n go on Paradise. First freaking hand of the game I get KK. I raise 4 times the blind UTG. Next 3 players go all in. Next 2 players fold and then 3 more go all in. I called making it 7 players in on the first hand. Flop was K rag rag. Turn was a 10 and river was a J. One player had AA one had 10 10 another had A 5 suited another had K rag suited and the last one had 6 7 suited. I forget what the other guy had but whatever. My set wins the pot.

By level 3 it was over. LMAO!

Anyone else had this type of experience?

no, because I fold KK's infront of 3 allins when I only raised 4x lv 1 blinds.

but interesting story /images/graemlins/cool.gif

This is borderline on the "It'll never happen" theoretical aces fold.

I think you are +$EV to fold here.

Edit: Glad it worked out for you, it may be a close one.

I think this is a fold preflop.

In a best case scenario, you're about 4-1 to win 6-1 on your money, which is a nice overlay. Much of the time, including this time, you're drawing close to dead. If you're on a psychotic table such as this one, you're going to get ITM most of the time.. might as well take it, rather than rolling the dice on the first hand.

for the record, here's the odds on this hand (I gave the unknown QJo), which you had the worst hand going into:

cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
Ks Kd 40033 7.98 459881 91.62 2028 0.40 0.081
As Ah 133254 26.55 367630 73.24 1058 0.21 0.266
Ad 5d 64230 12.80 436654 86.99 1058 0.21 0.129
Ts Tc 75479 15.04 425826 84.84 637 0.13 0.151
Kc 2c 50096 9.98 449818 89.62 2028 0.40 0.101
7h 6h 91224 18.17 410081 81.70 637 0.13 0.182
Js Qh 45177 9.00 456128 90.87 637 0.13 0.090

Those stats are TOTALLY AMAZING to me. TOTALLY AMAZING.
I never would have guessed in a million years that 76s > 2x win % over KK! Or that TT is > 2x win % over KK?? I think the presence of AA is what does it... meaning he's got to draw a king AND avoid flushes or straights to win.

I wouldn't fold KK with 3 allins in a $10 SNG. Even if someone has AA, you almost have pot odds to hit your set.

If I thought the table was loose and fishy enough that there was good chance no one had a big pair, I might call with QQ or JJ, considering the set odds. It's way too dangerous to call with AK, which will be dominated by AA.

Yes, the AA hurts his KK. But the main reason why TT is a better win% is that another player has a K. Taking away one of his outs to a set.
