I've always wondered, why do so many of the hard core anti-spam posters here reply to the spam posts? Why not just let it sink to the bottom of the forum?

because we like having fun at the expense of spammers and also it serves as a warning to future would be spammers. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's just so hard not to reply and berate them. Even you responded!

You're fine, it doesn't seem very considered to me.

also, this is more of a slap because this person obviously has not read a word here in the last 3 days if ever.

he is a mass spammer that will hit every message board on the internet and never contribute anything to the discussion. this is what usenet has turned into, so guys like cubs that jump them fast are removing the reward of allowing the post several hundred views whether there is a reply or not.

I don't get it. How does responding to the post and bumping it to the top of the board keep it from getting hundreds of views? You can notify the moderator without replying.

whomever is first is allowed to gloat. the thread will be history next time mat signs on, and it serves to show newer posters how intolerant we are of it. having it bumped makes an example of it while it clings to its short life.

Party Poker? Never heard of it. How would I set up an account there? Do they have very many players?
