This was a $20 SNG on Party. I think I may get flamed for my reraise with AQ, but I think that it's a good move to make occasionally as so many party players will back Ax with all of their chips.

If it was folded to UTG who then pushes, I call, if someone else pushes first, I fold.

Only my opinion,

Not worth the risk without a read.

You would call a limp-reraise but not anything else?

Yep. Only is right.

Look, if you think a limp and a raise can mean a wide range of aces you dominate, why not just call? Let them trap themselves when an A flops. I could soooo easily see you get stacked here by AA-TT.

I fold preflop.

I just don't want to gamble with an idiot holding 44 so early in the tourney.

I usually play sng's on stars, but I fold AQ as soon as UTG limps. Why bother.

Thanks for the replies,

Now that I reconsider, it was foolish to reraise 25% of my stack here, but what about a flat call?

but what about a flat call?

You could, but I go with dogs' philosophy... why bother /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

It's just not a particuarly good hand, and it's one that you can bust with very easily if you hit the flop.

You have another 60 or so hands to double through, why use this one.

I think you we had a miscommunication. I meant if the action went: UTG raise to t70, I raise to t200, folded to UTG who pushes, then I would probably call.

Of course if UTG limped initially the entire situation changes.

I agree with you both. Typically this is an auto fold for me, however, I thought that the reraise to isolate perhaps had some merit.

I'll just say the three words that my girlfriend loves to hear...I was wrong.

Thank you all,

Zephyr
