There are 2 books offerd by ConJelco on No Limit and Pot limit:

Pot-Limit and No-Limit Poker, Bob Ciaffone and Stewart Reuben.

Championship No-Limit and Pot-Limit Hold'em, T. J. Cloutier with Tom McEvoy.

Which book is better ?

thanks

I've read both and I like the Ciaffone/Reuben book better. It talks a bit more about concepts like stack size and position which are important in cash games.

The book covers a lot of different big-bet games which is sort of helpful to read, but I wish there was more hold'em material.

The TJ/McEvoy book is okay but not great; it's sometimes not organized clearly but you can pick out bits of information. It focuses on NL/PL tourneys, as opposed to cash games. BTW, T.J.'s stories are pretty interesting.

Doesn't seem as though there's much literature on big bet; perhaps someone could fill the void...

PL/NL book on a desert island, it would be the Ciaffone/Reuben book. It does a better all-round job, and is better organised; the Cloutier/

McEvoy volume is much more conversational in tone.

The practice hands at the back aren't bad, though.

Thanks for the info balconybash and perfidious -

sounds like reading them both isn't a bad idea -

my interest at this time is pl/nl tournys -

Think I'll start with Ciaffone/Reuben and then get Cloutier/McEvoy
