2048 x 1536 max res CRT monitors

I was looking around at new LCDs for poker and stumbled on to these. Instead of an $800 LCD w/ 1600 x 1200, you can get a $500-$700 CRT with max resolution of 2048 x 1536. Sure it's not a cool little flat screen, but wouldn't it be more useful? My thinking is that you could play 6 tables a lot easier on one of these and actually spend less money. There will still be a little overlap(Party windows are 800 x 600 pixels). I have 1680 x 1050 on my wide screen lap top right now and I can play 6 tables, but it's pretty cluttered.

Any of you have one of these monitors? Would an LCD still be better?
