I called. Flop came 852. I pushed, he called with Q8. My only pot of the night.

Missed registration on this one. Good luck!

Name is Enon07 and I'm at 2780.

Here's an early hand (my 7th hand I think) that could have severely crippled me:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t20 (10 handed)

UTG+2 (t1915)
MP1 (t1090)
MP2 (t705)

Pot 2: t200 (t200), returned to Button.

I started at a table with ZeeJustin and Tom Collins, but we broke around 10 hands in. I've had Queens twice and got no action, but won 2 nice pots in a row and have 3K now.

out in 314th. Was doing fine til this guy made a terrible play or what I thought was horrid, that worked against me. blinds 25/50. I have 6c 7c in the bb. One caller in mp.

flop comes 9s 3c 5c.

So i just flopped the double gutshot wtih the flush draw, and strait flush. I check. He bets out 50. Oh yeah I have 1300, and he has 450. So he bets out 50, I raise it up to 200. and he goes all in. I call. He flips over Qd Jh. Im like wtf, but a jack comes on turn and no help for me on river, and Im done to around 800. I asked him what his thinking was on the play, and he said he was thinking the same thing of me??

On table 3, about 4600ish. Spoke to soon, QQ vs AA, on the short end. Down to 1000.

I was out early in this one. Was cruising early, but blah blah AA and QQ PF, Q, blah.

Good luck to the rest of you guys. I was watching a couple of other 2+2'ers play to check out the competition- some good plays going.

Out in 179th. Got AK, big stack BB reraised me, I push in, he calls. We both have AK and chop-chop.

Next hand, I get AQ w/ T2244 and it's folded to me in 5th. I raise 525 (blinds are 100/200), same guy now the SB reraises me all-in. I think briefly and read he doesn't have AK again or a big pair, maybe AJ or worse, and probably a PP. So I call assuming a coin flip. He turns over 66 and I don't improve.

I thought this was a good place to double up with my low chip stack, especially since my read was right, with the overlay. I was calling 1719 more to win 2969 or => 1.72 to 1. Bad play?

Enon

...my bustout hand:

A quick note, this raiser had previously made this standard raise multiple times in a row at a very tight table and had taken down the blinds. One of these times I pushed on him with 88 only for him to muck very quickly.

Still though, I had to punch a few things in my room because i just recently f-ed up a few nights ago when I unnecessarily pushed with 25s in the BB facing a simlar raise from the BB. Pure idiocy.

I was at the same table with elfleader and again with reraiseallin but I didn't know you guys were 2+2ers so I didn't say anything.

10 away from money now, hope I squeak in. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here is the hand that I was debating calling limit with, I was raising lots of pots stealing lots of blinds so I thought there was a good chance that I had him to three outs. He went all in twice at a previous table with ace jack and ace nine, but I just had that bad feeling. Whatever would have happened though, it worked out.

I liked my chances in a short table against them, even with only 225k chips and haigh's huge lead. haigh was a pretty poor player who should have busted a few times but instead hit his 3 outers (or something like it) and I didnt want to flip a coin to give myself the small stack. They didnt seem like they had much experience playing short handed, I have lots, so I decided that I could find a better spot.

I didn't watch the final table or anything, but folding AQ there seems really bad.

Here's a link you should bookmark:
BisonBison's Hand Converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

I think you have to call there against the short stack. You are getting better than 3:2 on your money, and you probably have the shortstack in bad shape. If he has AA, KK, QQ, or AK you are in bad shape, but he is much more likely to have a weak ace. He may have an underpair, but I would take that race since you will be left with enough chips to play with if you lose (16ish BB). If you win, you get a small chip lead and are in the final two. Easy call here IMO.

I know that a call would have been correct nine out of ten times, but with my experience short handed and their poor play I didn't want to gamble with my stack at that point. I felt that I had a good chance to win it, even with my stack as it was. A call that lost would have been crippling, I thought that the most likely situation was that I was a 47% chance to win the pot, it made it a tough fold but even with the blinds how they were I was okay.

I was able to steal the blinds numerous times and when they called my preflop raise they hadnt seen the turn yet, I felt that I pretty much owned the table and that my chances were better if i had folded.

I only played AK one time of three that I got it, and the other two times it was against aces if I called, so I was feeling very confident with my reads. There were a couple pots earlier that I could have called and won huge pots (with JJ and 99) in the last two tables of the tournament, but I would have been wrong to call (all in preflop).

Bottom line: I felt that my reads were dead on and I felt that I could outplay my opponents.
