56s is the best because it takes away AA's A2345 straight possibility.

really, 56s? i always thought it was 45s or 56s (having the 5 in your hand helps a great deal).

ive never done the computing behind it.

so next time someone raises and im dealt KK, ill just have to curse that i didnt get 56s... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

No. He can still make nut straights if you hold T9s but not with 56s.

Duh. I am such an idiot.

My first instinct was that holding 2 of his straight cards (e.g. 45) would be better, but now I see that with 56, he can't make a straight without me making a straight too.
