Predictions? Cards win 8-3, as that's been a favorite score so far in the playoffs.

My prediction- cards win the series in 6 without a single hit from Rolen.

wow, Kent is such a tool. 2 run bomb.

Houston is coming apart at the seams. Just goes to show you, you can't win in the playoffs with average pitching. Cards in 5 might be giving Houston too much credit.

LOL, maybe if Kent could make a play out there. HAHAHA

This is just getting sad. At least Atlanta would have had the pitching and defense to keep it close. Winning games on emotion and hitting doesn't work against the Cardinals.

Nope. They're a very professional team, driven, but never flustered. They expect to win, and they are doing it so far.

Yup. Gave up some runs, but they scored a bunch too. I don't see a 1-0 game happening in this series, but we'll see.

definitely not.

What? All the A-stro fans disappeared? Say it ain't so!

Stros only need a split in the first two at St. Louis. Rocket and Roy are good for two more, and they scrap out one more somewhere. Tommorow will be a harder game to win though. The defense is going to have to improve.

Pretty good prediction. The Astros would have been an awesome team with a healthy Andy Pettitte and Wade Miller. Without them, things look bleak.

They also need to field better to have any hope against the Redbirds.

Matty Mo is -235 tomorrow. He pitched much better in LA than his 4 runs allowed would lead one to believe. If he pitches like that again, the game is over. OTOH, he's prone to allowing 6-spots in the first, so it's no sure thing.

Kent was terrible out there, and Berkman looked Manny-esque.

"Just like the Red Sox fans have all disapered as well. "

True. And in fairness, the Astro fans were only faking their [censored]-talking because I goaded them into it.

The Red Sox fans really meant it and really thought they'd cruise. "It's seriously not close", "We are better at every position except 3rd", "we own Rivera". I don't know why they set themselves up for such huge disappointment by setting such lofty expectations and making such patently ridiculous statements.

At the end of the day NY is a team that has psychological ownage of Boston, they finished ahead of them in the regular season, and when Boston controlled their own destiny with head-to-head matchups against NY down the stretch, NY snapped out of a funk to, again, win when it mattered to sew up the division. Who's your Daddy, indeed.

Yeah, you are right about the astro's fans. I think they realized that the NLCS was and is going to be close(I still like St. Louis), but they know that Houston(if they win) aren't going to run away with it if they do.

As for Boston fans, they only think they were certain about was that their team was better on paper. Whatever the hell that means. To bad they forgot NY WON THE EAST, and not Boston. Without Schilling they have no chance, and now my friendly wager that NY will sweep is looking even more profitable.
