View Full Version : When do you raise the flop?

Assume you have AKs and you raise preflop. With a completely blank board, what situations do you bet the flop?

1. 2 opponents, you have the button
2. 4 opponents, you have the button
3. 2 opponents, you are first to act
4. 3 opponents, one left to act after you

I know there are no hard rules, but I'm curious as to what most (good) players would do. Does a mildly coordinated board change anything?

Thanks,
Spicymoose

The flop texture and the quality of opponents are just as important.

Sorry, for clarification assume it has been checked to you.

You just sat down at a typical 2/4 Party game, no reads. Flop comes 2h, 5d, Jc.

Take this with a shaker of salt...

1) Bet
2) Bet
3) Bet
4) Bet
