I did it....and it took me significantly less than 2 years.
Actually, when I sign-up there I got the $200 initial-depo bonus from CP and they also had a $150 reload going on at the same time. So I mowed through $350 of bonus and hoped they would offer another one soon (they just had a reload offer a couple weeks ago which I am just now getting around to clearing).

If you play 2/4 or 3/6 (especially short) I think it is a decent bonus....certainly not as slow as UB bonuses.

I totally oppose this. I say; one of the best bonuses on the net. Last reload bonus(150$ - 1050 points) I played through in less than 10 hours 4 tabling at 1/2 stud and 1/2 NL HE. Definately less than 2 years!
And I find the games very nice....

You don't get 2 years. You have to clear it within 2 months.

The pot needs to be raked 50 cents to get a half-point. That clears 7 cents of bonus. If you play $0.50-$1, most pots don't reach $10, but you will clear the bonus eventually. Maybe it will take 4000 hands to clear a $100 bonus. If the pot is raked $1, you get a full point, clearing $0.14. This happens very frequently at $2-$4 and $3-$6, so it might only take 800 hands to clear a $100 bonus, fewer than some Party bonuses. In either case, I believe you will get back less than the rake you pay.

If you play $0.50-$1, you will find it much faster to clear bonuses at Absolute, where there is also a continuous stream of reload offers.

If you don't think you can clear the whole bonus, you could deposit less to get a smaller bonus. You can also clear the bonus in the casino. Their blackjack game has a relatively low house advantage (~0.24%), but you have to wager $14,000 to clear a $100 bonus, and you would probably be annoyed if you bust out and have to redeposit to try to clear the bonus.

If you play a lot on one calendar day, either poker or in the casino, you can easily qualify for the points leader board. The website says you get bonus money for this, but I received normal, withdrawable money instead.

yes...the daily points leader thing is definitely a consideration.

i was trying to get rid of as much of this bonus as possible on 1 day a few mths ago and cleared around 500-600 points I think (maybe more) and got an extra $18 on top of the $200 bonus that I cleared. Didn't even know about the daily leader-board thing until I saw the thing on the my account page saying that I could claim my extra dough.

Doesn't sound like much....but I think it's pretty good.
If a site said "These are the requirements for your $200 bonus....but if you clear X amount of it in one day then it becomes a $220 bonus" or something like that I think some of us are whore-ish enough to do not spread out the bonus-clearing over several days.

I agree that those who have issues with the length of time clearing the bonus are silly to just avoid the bonus altogether. If you don't like the bonus that much then you can just deposit less.

Trying to clear this bonus at NL-25 or 1/2 limit really would take forever though. the 1/2 and NL-25 bonus-clearing on -proom is probabky a little bit worse on P-room than on other sites...but these levels are typically not going to be ideal for bonus-clearing on ANY sites.

2/4 and up on P-room should be decent for bonus-clearing imo.

Allow me to summarize the thread.

Good Bonus

Sign up through Cardplayer magazine to get the 40% instead of 20%

(I'm done this bonus, and grinded it out at $1/$2 levels a while back - it can be done, and the games are soft)

The Bonus is easy to clear.

If anyone wants EXTRA Bonus, they have a refer a friend plan. E-mail me your info and I can refer you. You get $25 for being referred, I get $50.

I will give you $12.50 of my $50 so we each get $37.50. I believe you can clear this at the same time you are clearing your deposit bonus.

I have to disagree with you on that one. The bonus at Pokerroom is not the easiest to clear, but it is in no way the hardest. The Utlimate Bet, Poker Stars, and especially Full Tilt bonuses are much more difficult to clear. I have cleared several pokeroom bonuses, primarily at 2-4 and a little bit at 1-2. It will take you a while, especially at 1-2, but it can definately be done with just a little effort. They seem to have a nice mix of players too, everything from bonus grinders to maniacs who seem to have stumbled in from the casino with several drinks in them lol. The games are also different depending on when you play, they have a fair amount of european players, especially swedish it seems and some of them are good and some are maniacs.
