I'm going to be in Vegas this weekend. I want to play in a MTT with a buy-in in the range of $50-150... but I'd like to play later in the evening, maybe have the MTT start after 9 or 10pm...

Does anyone know of a MTT that plays later into the early morning or do most start in the evening or afternoon? Any recommendations for good MTTs in general?

Thanks,

j.

Many of the cardrooms have a poker newspaper similar to Card Player that lists all of the local tournaments. Just grab one when you get into town.

Most of the tournies start at 7 pm. The only regular late one that I am aware of is at midnight at the Plaza. If you make final table in this one, you will be playing until after 6 am. The buy in is $60 with an optional $50 rebuy.

You can read it online and there is a tourney guide in it:

I believe the Imperial Palace has some midnight tourneys too. They call them graveyard shift tourneys. If the play is anything like the (limit) ring games, anyone who posts here should be a pretty good favorite over the field.

I'll be at the IP starting Late Thursday evening.

Will be in town Fri , Sat. and Sun. Leaving Monday morning.

I think I may very well play this Midnight graveyard shift tourney if I can get some sleep on the plane. Look me up. If I'm not in the tourney, I'll probably play some Ring late thursday night. Page "Bunky" to the podium. If I'm there, I'll come up.

Later.

Hey dude, we're staying at IP this weekend as well...Tomorrow (Thursday through Sunday). I've got bachelor party plans Thursday night, but other than that, it will be poker all weekend (except for the wedding Saturday).

I'll keep an eye for ya.

Last time I talked with the IP management (about a month ago), I was told that they're probably going to discontinue the midnight tournament becuase of poor turnout. It was a good idea, and having played in one over the summer, I can say that it was fun to play a midnight tournament (but there were only a few players).

As I recall, the graveyard tournaments were held on Wednesday nights.

Yeah Stew, we'll hook up. Have fun at your bachelor Party. I'll be down with my wife celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary.

We'll have to get a drink and chat though.

Wanna set up a time?

I'm with a big group so setting a time will be difficult. I will say this. I may have a Red Bud Racing hat on or I may not (if I don't, no hat) and I will be using a white chip with the words DODDS imprinted on it to cap my cards.
