View Full Version : Starting aces with just limpers in before you

Scenario: NLH, full table, everybody has about $50, antes .25/.50. You are in late position with aces, 2 or 3 limpers ahead of you. What's your move? Going all in seems pointless as you'll likely pick up all of a couple of bucks for your premium hand. I suppose the goal here is to make a large enough bet to eliminate all but one other player, but what is that size bet. I've been having no luck here: when I bet $5 everyone calls and I get drawn out on. If I bet $8 everyone folds. Or else do I limp too and hope one of the players behind me makes a move?

bet an amount that will induce one or two callers and have enough in the pot so if they happen to hit top pair you can win some more.

learn when to fold when you are beat. or the flop is too bad to bet.
