This is a technical question, and I'll be as brief as possible. I want to add a second monitor onto my desktop computer. I am running Windows XP. I currently have a plug and play monitor running on a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X.

I have a second monitor. The cables running from each monitor are identical. HOWEVER, while I do have two connections on the back of my video card, those connections are not the same. Hence, the second monitor will not plug into the second connection on the video card.

So, my questions are...

1) Do I need to buy a second video card?

2) If I don't need to buy a second video card, what exactly do I need to buy in order to connect the second monitor to the current video card, and where can I get it?

Thank you all in advance for any and all help.

You need a DVI to VGA adapter plug. They didn't sell them at my local Best Buy but I know you can google find one.

When I did it, the guy at Best Buy told me I needed another Johnson Rod. Gave me a great deal too only $100.
