Comments? I might need to get a sample of these even tho I have started my pokerchips.com order. Might be a good way to have some cheaper tourney chips to supplement.

my guess is these are a lighter version of the 13g casino mold chips.

Looks like it's fabricated from the same material used in the Super Diamond chips (http://www.5stardeal.com/deals/10Expand.asp?ProductCode=10-1010).

It looks to be a slightly different process but I really like the looks of these. I hate chips with the same color edge spots on all denoms.

I like the designs as well. Please post a review if you get the samples.

From the site: "...which makes them the most authentic poker chip available on the home gaming market" - Wow!!

They look like the same old plastic chips & not that diff from the 13.5g's.

Still, I'd like to see a review so please post if you get some. They look interesting but @ $0.39 a piece... I just don't know.

I dunno. It's still got a metal slug in the center so 39 cents is a bit steep for what is just a different version of 11.5 g chips. They look nice though. Just don't expect them to feel or sound nice.

Bump for any reviews..

They're now selling on eBay @ $0.28 (by 5stardeal) a piece.

I ordered (yesterday)1 chip of each color of this and also the 13gram that some have given good reviews. I'll post when I get them. I'm trying to find a chip that I can put a 1" label on so I need a recessed center. Looking at these as a possibility.

OK, I got my samples in today from 5 star. I got these 12 gram "Las Vegas Edge" and the 13 gram "Casino". I liked them better than the Casino, but not as well as some other budget chips. They look better (due to the border and nice colors/edge spots) than most of the budget chips, but the weight just isn't quite right and they are very slippery. If you put a matte label in the middle, they may turn out really well. The recessed center is there and that is the main reason I am still looking for chips; I am going to get a custom label done. If www.thepokerchipcompany.com (http://www.thepokerchipcompany.com) had a recessed center, I would have bought them already. If the www.casino4you.com (http://www.casino4you.com) could still do custom labels they were my top choice.
Anyway, the bottom line is that these are in my top 2 for budget chips that allow for a 1" label. However, for the money I think I will probably end up with www.pokerchipmart.com (http://www.pokerchipmart.com) 9gram "Real Clay". They are obviously not "Real" Clay, but they do feel good weight/sound. I prefer lighter over heavier chips and they just feel a little better. The biggest problem with their chips was the label IMO. However, as I noted, I am buying blanks and putting my own label on. I hope this helps...

When did casino4you.com stop doing custom labels?

When I placed my order after sending art, etc. I received an e-mail that they needed to retool their labels and had no idea how long that would take. I had sent my credit card number and everything. Nothing has been charged and they have assured me that nothing will be. They are supposed to let me know if/when they start again. I have a funny feeling I won't hear from them so I have been still looking for custom chips. I put in orders for samples from thechipstore.com and RT Plastics today...
