I don't think that many people play both limit and NL.

I will occasionally play .5/1 or Pacific 3/6, but otherwise stick to NL.

if you cant beat the 2/4, dont play the NL50.

but, that doesnt even matter because i am sure you can beat the 2/4. stick with it.

I've played both, I enjoy the 2/4 games, at least since I bought SSHE, but I enjoy both. Depends what you are in the mood for I guess.

well i took a break from the limit grind last night and saw perhaps the softest nl25 games i have ever seen. it may have been incredibly lucky table selection, but i suspect you can make almost the same amount from nl25 as limit 2/4. people called allins with top pr/crap kicker on a 3 flush board. i doubled up on both of my sets, one of which was against middle pair! i'm not sure if this will last , however, as nl fish tend go broke much quicker.

I've played both, and they are both pretty soft. The main difference is that 50 NL is much more feast or famine. Generally the opponents are weak passive. You can nail them with raises after they limp with crap, but sometimes getting more money out of them can be difficult. Nevertheless, you can typically make a lot of money by punishing flush draws. Most players will not fold a flush draw to any bet.

My opinion (speaking as primarily a NL player) is that NL is softer, but if you take the trouble to hunt truly maniacal players, NL is FAR FAR FAR softer because they can be punished far more severely compared to limit.
