The definitive NLHE Tournament book has yet to be written. I suspect it will be written soon by some tournament pro(probably ghostwritten) since the market for poker books is now so great that it would be worthwhile for some pro to do it, even if he/she is then giving away some of his playing style.

Such a book would include:

1. A thorough analysis of starting hands stategy for each phase of a tournament.

2. Over 200 pages of precise post flop, turn and river
strategy for the approximately 50 viable hands you would play

3. A comprehensive bluffing strategy , with many pages of examples.

A think a book like this would make a fortune for some pro,

I agree that a book focusing exclusively on NLHE would be great for you and me, but I wonder if the consequences would be desastrous in comparison to the limit games numerous books have been written for. How would it change the NL tournament scene ?

Hi Walter:

The book is on it's way. Actually it will be a two volume set and is written by Dan Harrington and Bill Robertie.

Best wishes,
Mason

Mason,

Are you accepting volunteers to proof read it?

No. But I have been asked that question several times.

Best wishes,

It might lose him a fortune too though.

Does Mr. Harrington also give fashion advice in the book?

Should we assume that Dan will be too busy to work on the book until after the Yankees/Red Sox series?

No need, you can buy the hats with the rim flat already. You have to put the bend in them yourself, remember? /images/graemlins/grin.gif
