Live Moter City Casino 5-10

Hero has 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif in CO

4 callers, I call, couple folds, BB checks 6 to the flop

Flop: T /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif

BB bets, all call, Hero raises, BB 3-bets, all call /images/graemlins/smile.gif, Hero caps, Everyone calls,

About 100 people to the turn, 1000000 SB in the pot.

Turn 2x

BB bets, all call, Hero....

So my thinking now is, there's a huge pot, no one is folding a T, if I river a 9, I'm probably still losing. Should I continue to raise my OESD here with just 8 outs? Just looking for thoughts and comments.

You should raise preflop first of all. Flop raise is fine, you're and may be best (probably not) and if its not you have outs. The acp is fine too, you're getting 5-1 on your money, you're outs are VERY likely clean and it looks like BB has a set/2 pair. On the turn you're now 4.75-1 to make your straight on the river and you're still getting 5-1 on your money, so go ahead and jam this one. If BB 3 bets and no one folds then I'm gonna start worrying about drawing to a split and just call. If you hit on the river ram and jam.

I also think you have 8 outs, but it is also possible you're spliting the pot if you hit. Your 2 set outs look dirty too with this large of a field.

Raise pre-flop.
Don't cap the flop.
Call the turn. No way a Ten folds and you might not even get anyone to fold once they put money in the pot this round.

This flop cap is super easy, there's no way you can put someone on a 9 already when there are only 2 left in the deck.

I agree the flop cap is easy but you're wrong about raising the turn here. Firstly, if anyone drops then you won't be getting 5:1. Secondly, raising here getting 5:1 is bad anyway as you're drawing to a one card oesd and even though it's not always going to be split when you hit, the amount of the time it will is easily significant enough to make up for the difference between 4.75:1 and 5:1. Also, if the BB 3-bets, that's really bad.

I could just about see the argument for betting the turn if it was to buy a free showdown and protect your hand, but you hardly ever buy a free showdown here as usually one of these opponents will be scared the river will get checked through. Anyway, it's pretty unlikely you have the best hand so a free showdown is not of much value, and for this reason trying to protect your hand is not worth the risk of reopening the betting.

If they've made it this far I don't think anyone's folding to another bet on the turn. If the BB 3 bets that does suck but I'd still be pretty surprised if anyone folded sice the pot would be soemthing like 24BB at that point. I stil like a turn raise adn I think it's for value, but I wouldn't say it's awful to just call the turn, mainly for the risks you stated.
