I'd cap the flop, I think he's very likely to have something like A4 here. If he bets the turn call down. If he checks then bet until he plays back at you.

Either cap flop or raise turn. Preferably cap flop.

I'd be disinclined to give MP2 so little credit. A5 or 56s are both hands I see all the time from players like that. Add in those three PPs and you have a legitimate number of hands to be scared of.

Still, you're too often ahead to leave, especially if no ace, no five, no six, and no club falls. So I'd cap the flop and if he still insists on betting into you on the turn I'd call down like you did.

However, in practice I'd probably do the exact same thing and if my notes showed MP2 as being especially passive postflop I might even fold the turn on principle. In fact, with BB and UTG hanging around I might still be inclined to even without reads unimproved. (the 2 is an improvement since it beats out 34)

Why not? My reasoning was that there are alot of cards that might deter me from raising the turn.

Why is that a bad thing? While it's true that there are a number of cards that could come on the Turn that would keep you from raising, that is even more reason to wait to see the Turn card before you put any more bets in. For example, had you known on the Flop that, say, the Ac were coming on the Turn, would you have still capped the Flop?

Call the Flop, take a look at the Turn card, and go from there.
