Funny you post this because AJ just crippled my AK. He limped with AJ and I raised with AKs, got 2 callers. Flop AJ2 all one suit. He pushed, I called and i'm down to 180 early.

As I posted this i doubled with qq, THEN GOT KNOCKED OUT ON A FLUSH DRAW THAT GOT THERE.

1833. I got a straight flush and the nut flush which I extracted for huge amounts in first hour. This was balanced somewhat when I pushed a "shortish" stack of 700 all-in with QQ. He had KK.

Some big hands here. No complaints so far.

I was only half-kidding, but I do wonder how others like playing AJ UTG... I hate raising with it because I hate getting re-raised, and I hate limping with it because I definitely would prefer knocking out a few other limpers if I'm gonna play it.

I saw you got eliminated from my table with QQ on a KKx board. I was almost sure you had the K based on the check-raise, because SB cold-calling button's big bet on the flop virtually gives the hand. I was kind of surprised you pushed. Any thought process there?

It was a tough decision for me, I checked the flop figured the MP player would bet if he had no K, which he did and I would then check rse him all in. I was so excited when he did that that I did think as hard about the significance of the SB cold calling his large flop bet.

The brief thought I had was that I felt the SB had a pocket pair that he was reluctant to lay down, figuring the MP player was bluffing the pot. I really felt he had a pocket pair, but in retrospect I should have given that cold call more thought.
The reason I thought he had a pocket pair, also, was that pocket pairs seem to be one of the most common hands people cold call preflop raises with and then overplay after the flop.

Overall it was probably a bad play on my part, thank you for making me give the hand a little more thought.
