I have a slightly queasy feeling about this hand, played on Absolute; I am not sure if I should have been more aggro on the River, or if I was really not able to do much more. Comments appreciated.

TABLE CONDITIONS:

The table is generally loose and passive, ideal in fact. Except, we are getting pestered by some kind of annoying insect (MANIAC), buzzing between tables, buying in for $40, busting out or sitting out after winning $30-$50 then immediately re-sitting in with only $40. He is posting here, but this is not his first visit by any means. His PF raises mean nothing, as do his flop 3-bets/caps. There is just about no way anyone should fold against this guy with any pair. Recently he 3-bet 23o PF and on the flop (A high) to be called down by J8o (who won with flopped bottom pair of 8's). The other player involved (SB) just loves to cold call. He is always doing it esp. PF from the blinds. He is clearly loose, though not totally mad. Just how loose post-flop I am not sure but I think any draw and any pair gets called down. He has been giving me some "chat" every time a make a draw (which has not been too often) which I have gladly returned. So far I have better of him in $$ and verbals... /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Should I have raised Maniac again here? Those cold calls from SB are started to wear on me and his coming alive on the River sure looks like bad news.

I think the SB will Cap often enough with the 7 to sicken you. More likely he has AQ or KQ. ev wise it is probably close but even if a river 3 bet is +ev I think the fact that I am human comes into play here. ie getting capped sickens me more than finding out I could have extracted one more bet.

As much as I hate to admit it, this probably *will* affect my subsequent play for at least a few hands. The effect will manifest itself as numb distraction.
