You're welcome to comment, I just thought it was an amazing amount of action. I decided that the bettors were so aggressive that there would be no paring down the field in this hand and I might as well let them do the betting for me (adding in extra bets never really seemed prudent, though I never thought they'd go as far as they did either and worried about making them clam up at another potentially good hand)

Congratulations on that last 9 falling. (not that you didn't have the odds to stick with this, just, well, congratulations!)

I'd usually cap that flop. Usually. I don't think it makes too much of a difference.

Yeah... to be honest I usually would also but this was not an overly aggro table (three bets PF were usually uncommon unless I was doing it), so I was curious if there was a hand someone felt was worth four betting. This much interest this early was daunting (I pretty much assumed I was up against a better hand but at least was willing to wait to the flop and consider mine like any other pockets)

Please cap the flop. You have almost the best possible hand at this point and plenty of outs if you're behind a straight to gamble on the flop.

I have seen a 70BB pot at pokeroom 1/2. Somebody named Gouldbusk was pumping garbage the whole way against AA or KK I remember is my KJ off would have dragged down the monster pot if I was willing to ride out the quading....... /images/graemlins/confused.gif

Interesting, I had an almost identical hand (to the initial post JJ hand) a few days ago - Pacific 2/4.

The only differences - flop was A J 4, turn 8, river 8.

The pot was 31.75 BB. I also failed to cap pre-flop, which was a mistake.

Honestly I never felt like this was a slowplay. The main difference being how many bets went in on any given street, and I didn't feel like betting out would have added any more to it. These guys certainly weren't going anywhere.

This is primarily different from my TT hand because there wasn't any risk of a street going unbet or even unraised.

Obviously once the board had the four-straight I knew I was drawing, and with 10 outs it wasn't worth putting in more bets myself.

Sweet! Yesterday was a series of monster pots. Well maybe not monster but having just moved up from 1/2 this week it sure felt like it! I'm not accustomed to being in 25BB+ pots more than once in a long session. Thankfully I won a few of those and it made up for almost every made hand getting taken down.

I'm fairly sure looking at the hand that I expected one of the original bettors/raisers to cap it for me. But obviously that's good advice, and not just in retrospect.
