This is a situation that comes up all the time that I'm having trouble with. When it's folded around to you in the SB, and you have a trash hand, what is the proper thought process? I realize that stack sizes, blind level, and the type of player that's in the BB can make the play more obvious, but I'm talking about a standard situation. Assume stacks are about even, middle level blinds, and no particular read on the player in the BB. I find myself folding a lot, or making a weak call and getting raised out of the hand either right there or on the flop. I have no trouble being very aggressive when the tournament gets heads-up, and I'm already ITM, but I don't play the same way in this heads-up situation.

To me, it's simple. If I have a hand that can beat the "average" hand (Q-7o or J-5s), I'll raise to 3x the BB.
If not, I fold.
