IMO, the kid made a horrendous mistake by not re-raising the pot pre-flop.

He raised, got re-raised, and had a middle "sucker" (no offense, greg, because obviously you're not) call the re-raise. He had to figure you both had big pairs or AK.

By not re-raising preflop, and taking down the $360. He got himself into EXACTLY the kind of position he didn't want to be in, not knowing where he stood on the flop. What was he looking for on the flop by not re-raising, set-over-set-over-set?

Can anyone explain his actions?

Sure, he is at the biggest game of his life, and he sees a chance to triple up. Really, his biggest mistake was forgetting who his opponents were. Greg has said that he raises a lot. The Kid didn't think about the kind of doubt that enters your mind when someone wants you to push a grand into the middle. Aces or not.

He got greedy and paid for it. Happens to all of us. Good work, Greg.
