I've been a lurker for a while, but finally have found a quesiton I couldn't find in the search.. What do you guys think the optimal buy in is for a live casino, not online.. I see most people like to keep a bankroll of about 300BB, so Im curious what you guys think is the best buy in to sit down at a LPG at a live casino.. thanks!

somewhere between 25 and 50 times the BB. So $125-$250

I sit down with 25-30BB depending on the stakes, and make sure I have another 25 or so BB in my pocket. I don't like sitting behind a mountain of chips, but I have had winning sessions in live play where I started out losing 20BB and finished 10-15BB up for the night. You need that extra roll to buy back in if the table conditions are great, because you should never have less than 12BB at the start of a hand. In fact, with no cap during HU actions, you could conceivably use a lot more in those beautiful boat over boat scenarios.

At these stakes you need more when you get to 14-bet the river with the nut flush on an unpaired board with no straight flush possibility. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
