I'm sure there is already a post on this somewhere but I wasn't able to locate it through the search function. Little help?

I'm looking for what the approximate rake return per hand is from PP and it's affiliates for limits 3-6 to 15-30, shorthanded, and ring.

Help appreciated. Thanks guys.

5/10 6max is usually about $1.50

$1.50 per hand doesn't make sense. /images/graemlins/spade.gif

It looks like the average rake in a 3/6 hand is just over $1.00 per hand total, so your share is about 1/9 of that in full ring games and then whatever % of that you get back from your affiliate. So your return might be around 2.5 to 2.9 cents per hand. Doesn't seem like much but when you play 10k hands a month it is.

average rake per hand for 5/10 6 max is around $1.50 - for 10/20 6 max its about $1.85 - and for 15/30 6 max its around $1.90

if you were on a rake back deal for say 20% of your rake and given that you play about 90-95 hands an hour per table depending on how short you like it - you do the math

Just to put it right in front of us:

5/10 6 max, you're averaging $0.0375 / hand
10/20 6 max, you're averaging $0.04625 / hand
15/20 6 max, you're averaging $0.0475 / hand

Assuming 15% and 5/10 avg rake = $1.50, 10/20 avg rake = $1.85, and 15/30 avg rake = $1.90.

So, if you play 1000 hands of 10/20 6 max a day, you're making $46.25 a day off of rakeback per day and $1,387.50 per month.

Does this seem consistent with your guys returns?

Average rake per hand for 3/6, 5/10, 10/20, and 15/30 ring games would be appreciated.

It does when the rake structure is $1 at $20, $1.5 at $30 and $2 at $40.

EDIT: I now see the question. The average rake per hand is $1.50. If you use Party/Empire's rakeback formula, you divide that by the number of players at the table (6) and then take whatever rakeback you're getting (we'll assume 20%). So you get 5 cents per hand. Now shabby, but considering whenever you win a pot, they're taking away an average of $1.50 away from you, maybe that's not so good.

I'm not talking about 'the rake', I'm talking about rake returns. ie. the percentage of 'the rake' credited to players who are under an affiliate with a rakeback plan of PP and/or it's skins.

You are credited w/ the total rake/average number of players. So for a typical hand the rake is $1.50 and you have an average of 5 players, then you are credited with $0.30 for those typical hands. you'll then get whatever % you get from your affiliate off of that.

To clarify, because some people are having trouble following:

In other words, $1.50 divided by 5 players in the pot is 30 cents, which is counted as your rake paid by the site. What other guys contributed is not counted. This is all figured out as a big average from the total monthly figures, not hand by hand, though.

But continuing, the site then splits that 30 cents with the affiliate and itself according to whatever distribution they've agreed on. Say the affiliate gets 30% because he's a big one with a good deal. The affiliate then gets approximately 9 cents and the site keeps 21 cents.

Then you and your affiliate split that 9 cents according to your own deal. Say you get a 75% rakeback from your affiliate. Then your affiliate would keep 2.25 cents and you would keep 6.75 cents.

Or you could just skip a step and take the 30 cents and multiply it by .225 for your share and by 0.75 for his share.

your additional figures seem about right

i forgot to add that the average players per hand playing 6 max is about 5.5 so if you divided by 6 to get individual rake the final figure should go up a little
