I'm wondering how you go about setting up multitabling. I'm on PP and wondering if there's any way to set up the windows side by side on one monitor. I can't resize the PP window and it's very disconcerting to have the windows constantly popping up whenever the action is to me. If anyone has any ideas or could just tell me how they are doing it, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for all the great posts.

I have my res set at 1152 x 864 and I like it. I can fit 8 tables just fine and arrange 4 going from upper left to lower right, and the other 4 going from upper right to lower left, just make sure the buttons don't overlap. Most probably people do this, but it is important to check the "fold" box whenever you see you have a garbage hand and then that is 1 less screen popping up on you, and since we are very tight players... it gets rid of a lot of problems:)

I've got my monitor at 1280x1024 (max res for this 17' monitor). I know a lot of people like to just stagger the tables a bit, but I prefer to set it up so that (if possible) I can see my seat on every table without another table overlapping it. Putting a table in each corner, so that they only overlap by ~20% on each of 2 sides, usually allows me to do this.

If you set your resolution to 1600x1200 you can fit 4 party tables on one screen with no overlap.

My computer wont let me resize to 1600 x 1200. I mean I have the option to, but when I hit OK to resize it, the screen goes blank for a bit, and when it comes back on, it's the same size.

Any Texperts (get it? tech- experts? eh? eh! clever!?) wanna help me out w this one?

This usually means that your monitor does not support that resolution. Try searching google for your monitor and I'm sure you'll find a page somewhere specifying the maximum resolution.

Dang it /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oh well, multi-tabling is for losers anyways.

I could be wrong but I think that you need a 21" monitor to fit 4 games with no overlap. I have one of those but I generally play 3 games and have the lobby showing in the 4th quadrant.

Playing 4 games simultaneously is for losers :-)

Ok so my maximum resolution is supposedly 1280 x 1024 according to doyle, but the highest resolution that works is 1152 x 864.
Help?
Comments on all streets appreciated.

Not necessarily, many 19" monitors support 1600x1200 with a decent refresh rate.

Before I got a multitabling monitor I was able to 3 table on a normal monitor pretty successfully. It just takes some concentration and alot of clicking. Start with 2 tables and when you get comfortable with that try 3.

Maybe it's your video card. I would check the specs on it as well. Another solution is to use 2 monitors. The desktop will be spread over 2 monitors instead of one. Make sure your main video card supports it.

Thanks for the post. I was going to ask the same thing. I thought I was missing an option on PP or something.

Does anybody know of sites that allow you to resize the windows or that are more multi-tabling friendly?

There are sites like Ultimate Bet that have a "miniview" (a thin window running across the screen) so you can multitable easier.

Get a 19 inch monitor, it'll save you a lot of grief.

Set it to 1600 by 1200 resolution (make sure your computer video card can handle that resolution. All new video cards support it but if you have an ancient card, you might need to upgrade it)

This will fit 4 games without any overlap at all.

Multi-tabling is NOT for losers.. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

To those who use a high resolution: What size monitor are you using?

I prefer the old 800x600 resolution, since I am using a 15' monitor. I would like to find a good deal on a larger one, 17' or larger.

The best for cheap is a 19" crt which can be had for under $200, under $100 if you really try. Then you can play 4 tables with no overlap. If you want to play more than 4 you add a second monitor, then you are up to 8 with no overlap

I bought a video card that I can hook up to my big screen TV. Now I play from my couch with my wireless mouse. Only problem is if my cat jumps on the remote and switches channels right when I'm ready to drag a big pot /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I bought a 19" CRT for about $175 a few months ago and am loving it. Set the resolution to 1600 x 1200 and 4 tables with no overlap.
